  • I just heard about the earthquakes and just wanted to make sure you were ok if you’re lurking. I already messaged you on PSN but I figured I’d do it here too so we could all get a public response.

    • That's the first I've heard of it too -- hope everything's okay over there on your end.

    • He replied on my PSN. He’s fine, says he didn’t even feel them because he can’t feel quakes unless he’s awake sitting down, even strong ones. The last one was on the opposite side from him. I could quote the whole conversation but I think y’all get the point. I didn’t even jear about them on the news, someone mentioned in faction chat on Planetside 2 and zi looked it up afterwards.

    • Thanks for the update; good to hear he's safe, and also good to see two old faces presumably doing well.

    • Yeah as he said I'm fine and didn't even feel them but that's cause for some reason I can't feel earthquakes at all. But while on the topic, how are you doing down there, Undead? Heard there are some mighty scary fires going in Australia.

    • In terms of actually seeing anything get set alight, I'm in a pretty safe area, so I've got no real concerns on that front. The actual smoke from distant bushfires actually carries quite far though, so temperatures have been a bit all over the place on top of some rather ridiculous levels of air pollution (it's actually travelling across the ocean and even affecting New Zealand's air conditions). From what I'm gathering, you'll want to be avoiding the eastern coast and South Australia -- this is not what I'd call holiday weather when we're getting orange sunlight during midday and visibility you'd expect in Beijing >_>

Yeah, my sister’s serving a mission in New Zealand and she’s sent us pics of the orange sky.

    • This planet really trying to figure out how to kill us...

Anyway, stay safe and good luck out there. Hopefully things will settle down soon.
