    • I gave up after the 13th chapter. Me watching the rest was an act of self mutilation.

    • 13th chapter of Alicization, or the original light novels?

If it's the latter, I'd actually recommend watching Season 3, unless they butcher the perfectly good story Kawahara managed to write: Alicization redeems SAO quite a bit, brings an interesting story about a different virtual world, and Kirito is no longer an almighty god capable of bsing his way through every challenge.

    • WHY?! Why do they keep putting us through this torment?!

    • I meant Chapter 13 of the anime, the rest is garbage and I should probably watch Made in Abyss instead.

No matter how SAO 3 turns out, you need to watch Made in Abyss! It's everything I hoped it would be, and more! A breathtaking world, no issekai bs, just a fresh, new fantasy setting. A labrynth that draws explorers, goes ever deeper, and pulls you in with promises of excitement of exploration. Characters drawn in a chibi style, but with very maturely crafted personalities. And no CGI (hallelujah)

I rated it 9/10, and it deserves that rating. It really is THE anime of Summer 2017, and one of the top ones of the year.

    • Made in Abyss... Now there's a show I can appreciate. Definitely something to check out if you haven't already; I can vouch for its quality. Has a lot of underlying tones, so if thats your cup of tea then by all means go for it.

Overlord II is airing too, so if you've seen the first season and like it for what it was, then the second season will not dissapoint. Of course, its not a hidden gem by any means, but it certainly strays from the "overhyped second season" syndrome which many seasonal anime fall under.

I'm planning on watching the second season of Re:Life. I loved the first season, and I'm waiting for them to complete airing the second season so I can binge it =P

If you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend taking a look at "A Silent Voice". Its an anime movie, but its an emotional rollercoaster which the younger audiences may resonate with. I found myself in tears at the end, but in a good kind of way =)

Overlord is a series I was not aware even existed until a month or two ago, but now I am excited for it. I mean, it's a completely different take on the video game issekai genre, aka, yet another show that beats SAO in every category. Seeing how things go from a perspective of a super OP villain sounds both unique and fun.

    • If you guys have Netflix, I'd highly reccomend B:The Beginning and Children of the Whale
