There are two major currencies used to purchase various items and upgrades in Star Warfare:

  • Gold is the basic, non-premium currency in the game, and is required to purchase most weapons, armors and assist items, as well as ammo and all weapon upgrades (including weapons bought with mithril). It can be obtained by killing Aliens, picked up as in-game item drops during PvE battles and through fighting in PvP matches.
  • Mithril is the premium currency of the game, and may be required to purchase certain armor pieces, weapons and even certain assist items (namely, the Full Healths and the revival Aid-Kits). Mithril is a crystal that can be obtained by playing boss matches in CO-OP mode online. Whenever you go online you get a daily reward depending on how many days in a row you've been online. The first 3 days you get gold and on the 4th and 5th days you get  mithril (2 on the 4th day and 3 on the fifth day,) which is another way to obtain this rare crystal. This requires for you to have a Game Center account. If you don't want to go through the hassle of saving mithril you can buy it with real money, though it is really expensive. It is used for buying Weapons and Armors with greater quality than gold bought items, and can also be used to swap mithril for large amounts of gold but not the other way around. You can also get mithril for downloading apps.
