The aliens are the main antagonist of the game. They are called "them". The scourge that is threatening to wipe out all life. Only you, with your high-tech gear and your elite military training, can take them out for good.

If it charges into you, you will be sent flying and be stomped on a moment later, which can be fatal to low-level armors. Fighting the Rhino at long range tends to provoke it into charging at players, whereas fighting at close to mid-range tends to elicit stomp attacks, which can be avoided by backpedaling. However, if you run into it while its head is still down, you can still take damage. Spiral-strafing to maintain constant distance is an effective close-range strategy, but melee weapons are not recommended due to the range of the stomp attack. An Elite Digger
